The Jim Dunlop Gator Grip plectrums, here in heavy gauge 1.5mm, are made from high quality materials to give us a matte gripping surface that yields excellent playability and attack.

These are a great way of maximizing grip but without have additional surfaces or a 'cat tongue'.
