Let's talk about a few topics that usually come up when we mention Elixir guitar strings, in the shop we get asked day in day out:
Why buy Elixir strings, are they worth it? Are they the best guitar strings you can get?
When customers come into the store to buy guitar strings and they don't really know what they want, we would normally recommend they purchase Elixir
strings for their acoustic or electric.
The reason for this is that they genuinely do last for ages and ages thanks to the Nanoweb coating over the string, stopping dirt, sweat and grime getting into the strings and rusting them!
I've had the same strings on my guitar for months - where as if it was an uncoated string, I'd need to change them most weeks to maintain the fresh feel and bright tone.
So we would all definitely recommend these strings, they last for ages, they feel great and they sound amazing, so yes, they are worth it!
Are they the best? Well, that's kind of a matter of opinion! Lots of players like lots of different brands, for example some people swear by Ernie Ball strings or D'Addario strings.
They certainly are one of the highest quality strings you can buy and we would say to try them for yourself and see if they work for you!
Most people tend to be converted once they try them, just like us in the store!
